360° view with just one camera
Designed to withstand strong shock and vibrations, this fisheye camera is optimized for surveillance onboard buses. And you don’t need to invest in several cameras—with AXIS M4317-PLR you get a complete 180° or 360° overview for total situational awareness. Plus, there’s just one camera to install, one cable to drop, one IP address, one video management software (VMS) license, and just one license for any analytics you choose to install. Furthermore, this cost-efficient camera ensures a lower power budget.

Outstanding images
With a stereographic lens and Sharpdome 360, AXIS M4317-PLR delivers greater sharpness at the edges of the image. It features a 6 MP sensor and offers great image quality around the clock, regardless of the light conditions. Forensic WDR provides clarity when there’s both dark and light areas in the scene. And Lightfinder for sharp, color images in low light. Thanks to built-in IR illumination with individually controllable LEDs, it delivers clear, reflection-free footage even in low light or complete darkness. Furthermore, it supports up to four digital PTZ views as well as dewarped panorama, quad, corner, and corridor views.

Secure and easy
AXIS M4317-PLR offers built-in cybersecurity features to help prevent unauthorized access and safeguard your system. For instance, Axis Edge Vault protects your Axis device ID and simplifies authorization of Axis devices on your network. Axis Zipstream with H.264/H.265 significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements. Furthermore, with a deep learning processing unit (DLPU), this high-performance camera delivers valuable metadata facilitating fast, easy, and efficient forensic search capabilities in live or recorded video.

Technical Description: Axis M4317-PLR Dome IP security camera Outdoor 2560 x 1920 pixels Ceiling

Camera
Camera shutter speed:Determines the length of time the shutter lets light pass through the lens to the CCD. Shutter speed and aperture together determine exposure.

Design
IK code:
IK10
International Protection (IP) code:The IP code classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion (including body parts such as hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures. It is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. Where there is no protection rating with regard to one of the criteria, the digit is replaced with the letter X. an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water. Another example is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, one of the first cellular phones to be IP-rated; it is rated at IP58 and marketed as "dust resistant" and can be "immersed in 1.5 meter of freshwater for up to 30 minutes".
IP66

Image sensor
Progressive scan:Also referred to as noninterlaced scanning, this is a way of displaying, storing, or transmitting moving images in which all the lines of each frame are drawn in sequence. This is in contrast to interlaced video used in traditional analog television systems where only the odd lines, then the even lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately.Progressive scan is used for DVDs and HDTV (high defintion television).
Yes
Optical sensor size:Optical sensors are electronic detectors that convert light, or a change in light, into an electronic signal. They are used in many industrial and consumer applications e.g. lamps that turn on automatically in response to darkness. Optical sensors come in many sizes.
25.4 / 1.8 mm (1 / 1.8")
Sensor type:A sensor is a convertor than measures a physical quality (light, temperature etc.) and displays this electronically on a device.
CMOS
