Overview

The AW-UE50 features a built-in Auto-Tracking. This built-in version is an entry-level, AI-based smart function that tracks one person with a single camera - without additional hardware or software. This technology uses body recognition to keep someone on camera. It is an easy way for corporations, higher education facilities, etc. to provide remote or hybrid meetings with little setup.

PTZ cameras enhance visual communication in a variety of applications ranging from online classes to online seminars. The AW-UE50/UE40 supports a compact design to blend in with the surroundings and operates very quietly to permit flexible use in any video shooting locations or conditions. The AW-UE50/UE40 offers high security and it is easy to install and operate for capturing stable images, so even people unfamiliar with video shooting or camera operation can utilize it. The excellent flexibility of the product simplifies wiring and operation. Linkage with online conference software or online application is possible, so online video streaming is easy to initiate. The AW-UE50/UE40 is a standard model perfect for people who want to utilize online video streaming more frequently or enhance the quality of online video streaming.

The AW-UE50 has a newly-designed and compact body with a weight of only 1.8kg, which makes it very easy to handle and to install in any kind of setting, especially when positioning the camera on trusses or ceilings.

The AW-UE50 has been designed to support the following markets:

- Live streaming events
- Entry-level studio configurations
- Higher education
- Corporate installs

Single-cable solution
The AW-UE50 also offers PoE+ support for camera power, control and video transmission over a single cable.

Direct drive system
The AW-UE50 features the direct drive system based on Panasonic’s own technology for quiet and smooth vertical and horizontal direction, with a reduced operating sound of NC25 or lower. Direct drive also opens up more opportunities for PTZ operation including faster, precise movement and with higher accuracy in preset positioning – making it Panasonic’s fastest, quietest and most accurate PTZ yet.

Online Video Content support
When using the PTZ Virtual USB driver software and using a LAN connection, it is possible to obtain video and audio from the AW-UE50 in the same way you would an USB camera. The UE50 is also equipped with Privacy Mode, which positions the lens towards the back when on standby.

Upgraded 4K sensor
The AW-UE50 features a new 1/2.5-type 4K MOS sensor that produces stunning UHD video with true 4K resolution of 1,500 TV lines in UHD. The UE50 supports 3G SDI, HDMI and IP which makes it an ideal option for using within existing HD or 4K workflows thanks to its simultaneous video output feature.

Wide-Angle Lens
The AW-UE50 introduces a new wide-angle lens with a 74.1° field of view and a 24x optical zoom, enabling a wide area to be shot from a limited installation space, in addition to maintaining high image quality at high zoom ratios. This allows shooting in large indoor spaces. Intelligent zoom extends its capabilities to 28x in UHD and 36x in Full-HD.

Optical Zoom and Image Stabilisation
Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) has been added to the unit to ensure smooth pan-tilt movement when in busier environments or moving or be placed onto a robotic system for example.

New Processor
The AW-UE50 includes a new powerful chipset platform, making the PTZ incredibly responsive and capable of increased video processing tasks for higher image quality and lower latency.

4K & HD Analogue Outputs
The AW-UE50 supports up to 4K 25p/30p video at 3840 x 2160 to provide professional and high-quality shooting of moving images, as well as a wide variety of output interfaces such as 3G-SDI, HDMI, and IP – which can be activated simultaneously for HD and 4K workflows. USB* is also supported.

New NDI|HX, SRT & IP Outputs
There is also a wide variety of IP transmission protocols available. Out of the box, Secure Reliable Transport (SRT*1) is supported to maintain stability while transmitting high-quality video, even in unstable network environments. SRT allows video distribution over public internet in a secure and reliable way, as it offers encryption and as lost packets are automatically detected and resent.

The AW-UE50 also supports the high-efficiency, low bandwidth NDI|HX*2 version 2, which is available via an optional paid-for upgrade. This enables video transmission at low bitrates over a single LAN cable.

RTMP/RTMPS*3 provides direct streaming to live broadcasting services such as YouTube Live and Facebook Live from the camera directly.

New Web Interface & Simplified Workflows
A brand new web interface has been introduced for professional operators working within darker environments to easily navigate the advanced GUI for operators.

Panasonic offers an entire ecosystem of solutions to enable the new PTZ cameras to be smoothly introduced into existing camera systems. This includes use with its remote camera controllers, PTZ Control Center centralised control software, and its automatic tracking software for presentations and lectures, enabled by face recognition and human body detection.

USB2.0 DEVICE, Type C connector, no USB bus-powered function.

Only compatible with UVC (USB Video Class)

USB port:Universal Serial Bus (USB) is an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and communications protocols used in a bus for connection, communication, and power supply between computers and electronic devices. USB was designed to standardize the connection of computer peripherals (including keyboards, pointing devices, digital cameras, printers, portable media players, disk drives and network adapters) to personal computers, both to communicate and to supply electric power. It has become commonplace on other devices, such as smartphones, PDAs and video game consoles. USB has effectively replaced a variety of earlier interfaces, such as serial and parallel ports, as well as separate power chargers for portable devices.
