The CoolRac uses 3 low noise mini blowers, extracting hot air from the rack and expelling it out of the front vents. The CoolRac also has the option for a separate thermostat (CRC-TEMP) to be plugged in, enabling the fan to activate only when it reaches 40 degrees. This increases the efficiency of the unit and prevents low level fan noise when it is not active.

The front panel is 1U high and the rear of the unit has been made 1/2U in height so when placed in between equipment, it has the space needed to efficiently extract the hot air. 3 units can be daisy chained from one power source.
